Riding Sports: Jumping

Jumping. What do you view it as? Some view it as, thrilling, an experience that is awesome in its short time. Others view it as if they are flying, there is that quick second where maybe all fours are off the ground and both you and your horse are suspended in mid-air. Trying to take in the feeling may be difficult at first, but it is possible, and a very fun experience if you are doing it correctly. Show Jumping is a relatively new sport. It falls under the English category of riding. Free Jumping, or Loose Jumping is the practice of jumping a horse without a rider. It is usually conducted in a chute and is used most often to elevate the jumping ability of horses too young to jump under saddle. Click here for a video of free/loose jumping.

Beggining

Many people see horses as large, ugly, scary filthy animals, but others see them as beautiful and elegant creatures. They have their descendants, such as the Zebra, and the Donkey, but what do we really know about horses? There is much more to them than meets the eye I'll grant you that. If you have a love for horses; and find them as interesting animals, such as to study, or take photographs of, or even draw, then this is a spot for you. Share your outlooks on horses; how you view them. Do you own one? Well talk about them here! Everything; and anything about horses; including their care, or how they are involved in many sporting activities. We've got it all.
